Walkmic is a field report app for architects, coming to iPad, iPhone and Android. It is in development and not available yet. This page lists the plain facts about Walkmic: what it will do, who it is for, what it is not, when it is planned, how the plans work and how to reach us.
What Walkmic does
We are building Walkmic for the report you write after every site visit. The plan:
- You walk the site, talk and take photos.
- Before you leave, the AI drafts the field report: the people and trades on site, the work in progress, your observations, and the items that need action, pinned on the drawing. The date and the weather fill in automatically.
- You review every line, fix what is wrong and sign the report.
- You send it to the owner and the contractor as a PDF and as one link. They open the link free, with no account.
The punch walk is one part of the same report. The AI drafts; you review and sign. Every feature on this page is planned, and the final app may be different.
Who it is for
We are building Walkmic for architects in small firms who do construction administration. Owner's representatives and inspectors who walk a site and write field reports can use it too. Owners, contractors and trades open the report free as guests, in any browser on any device. Walkmic for architects explains the site visit report in detail.
What Walkmic is not
- It does not do RFIs, submittals or schedules.
- It does not check building code, accessibility or safety rules.
- It does not take measurements from photos.
- It does not sign or approve the work. You review and sign every report.
Status and dates
- Now: in development. There is no beta yet, and the app is not in the App Store or on Google Play.
- Beta: planned for early 2027. Everyone on the waitlist gets the invite first.
- Launch: planned for spring 2027.
- Platforms: iPad, iPhone, and Android phones and tablets, with Apple Pencil on iPad. Guests use any browser.
How the plans work
All plans and prices are planned and can change before launch. The prices are on the pricing section of the home page.
- Free plan: free with no time limit.
- Pro: a paid plan, with a 14 day free trial for everyone at launch.
- Guests: always free.
- Early access price: you can hold a lower price for your first year of Pro. No payment is taken today. We email a payment link before the beta opens. If the app is not in the App Store for iPad and iPhone by 30 June 2027, you get a full refund automatically. If you need Android and it is not available by then, you get a full refund on request. You can also ask for a full refund at any time before launch.
What you can use today
The free field report maker shows in your browser how the app will draft your report. Add the visit details, your notes and photos, and check the draft. You get a PDF and a guest link. The punch list maker is the same tool in punch list mode. Both are free, with no account. They are not the Walkmic app.
