Notes in one place, photos in another
A notebook, a camera roll and a marked up PDF. Tonight you turn them into a report at the desk.
Walkmic is a field report app for architects, coming to iPad, iPhone and Android. Talk and take photos as you walk, and AI drafts the report: weather, trades on site, progress, observations and the open items pinned on the drawing. You review it, sign it and send it.
The owner and the contractor open the report free with one link. No account, no app.
"Drywall and electrical on site today. Room 204, outlet cover missing next to the vanity."
Site visit 7
The problem
A notebook, a camera roll and a marked up PDF. Tonight you turn them into a report at the desk.
Date, weather, who was on site, what changed since the last visit. You type the same headings after every visit.
The report goes out as an attachment. To answer the items, the contractor needs an account, a password and a seat.
We are building Walkmic to put your voice, your photos and the drawing in one place, draft the field report while you walk, and send one link that anyone can open.
Say what you see. Walkmic drafts the field report, pins the open items on the plan and has it ready to sign before you reach the car.
What we are building
No RFIs, submittals or schedules. Walkmic does the field report well and stays out of the way.
Talk and take photos as you walk. AI drafts the weather, the trades on site, progress and observations. You review and sign.
Tap the plan for each item that needs action. The punch walk sits inside the report, with room, trade and photo.
One link, no account, no app. The contractor replies, adds a photo of the fix and closes the item.
Voice notes, photos and pins save on the device first. No signal in the basement is fine. The AI drafts when you are back online.
Open a drawing set from Files, Mail or a cloud drive with no project setup. Mark it up with Apple Pencil.
Your logo on the cover, the visit number, the marked up plan and the photos in one clean PDF.
How it works
From Files, Mail, a cloud drive or the share sheet. No project to set up first.
Say what you see and take photos. Tap the plan for each item that needs action. The AI drafts the report as you go.
Check every line and sign. Send a PDF and a link to the owner and the contractor before you leave the site.
Why architects switch
They want a project set up, a paid seat for every person and a signal in every room. A site visit has none of that.
Revu for iPad left the App Store on 31 December 2025 (Bluebeam support). If your markup tool is gone, you need one that still feels like a pen on site.
Per user prices make you choose who sees the report. The owner and the contractor end up with a PDF in their inbox and no way to reply.
Create a project, upload the set, wait for it to process. On site you only want to open the drawing and start.
One crash or a failed sync in a basement, and your notes and photos are gone. You walk the site again.
Walkmic is not affiliated with Bluebeam.

Walkmic is in development. We plan a beta in early 2027 and the launch in spring 2027. Everyone on the waitlist gets the beta invite first.
The date, the weather, the people and trades on site, work in progress, your observations, the items that need action pinned on the drawing, and your photos. It follows our own report structure, and you can edit every line.
The AI drafts it from your voice and photos. You review every line, fix what is wrong and sign it. Nothing goes to the owner or the contractor until you send it.
Yes. Tap the plan to pin each item that needs action. The items go into the report with the room, the trade and your photo, and each trade gets a link to its own items.
For site visits, punch walks and field markup on iPad, that is what we are building it for. Walkmic does not import Revu tool sets and does not sync with Revu on the desktop.
That is how we are building it. Voice notes, photos, pins and markups are saved on the device first. When it is back online, the AI drafts the report and the uploads finish.

No. The AI drafts the report from your voice and photos. It does not check building code, accessibility or safety rules. You review and sign every report.
