What we collect on this site
- Your email address, and your role and early access price choice if you give them, when you join the waitlist.
- The page where you joined and the country of your connection, so we know which pages help people.
Why we collect it
To send you the beta invite, launch news and, if you ask for it, the early access payment link. Nothing else.
Where it is stored
In a database on Cloudflare. We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.
The free field report maker
- Your notes, photos and drawing stay in your browser on your device while you work. Nothing leaves your device until you ask for a draft or a guest link.
- When you ask for an AI draft, we send your notes, the visit details and resized photos to our AI provider through OpenRouter to write the draft. We do not store them on our side. We count drafts per device and per network for the daily limit, with a random device number and a scrambled network address, never the address itself.
- When you create a guest link, we store the report text, the drawing image, the item photos and the PDF for 90 days, then delete them. Anyone with the link can see the report, mark items fixed and reply. You can delete the report at any time from your owner link.
- If you fill the weather from your location, your browser asks you first. Your rounded location goes to Open Meteo once, and we never store it.
- We count tool steps (a walk started, a draft, a PDF, a link opened) with a random device number, so we know if the tool helps people.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies. We use PostHog (EU Cloud, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany) for privacy friendly analytics and error tracking, so we know which pages and tool steps help people and what breaks.
- No cookies and nothing stored on your device for analytics. PostHog counts visitors with a scrambled code that changes every day.
- No session recordings.
- Events go through our own domain (walkmic.com/ingest) to PostHog in the EU.
- What we collect: the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, steps in the free tool (a walk started, a draft, a PDF, a link shared, an item closed), template downloads, the country of your connection and errors in the site or our server.
- What we never collect: your name, the text of your notes, reports or forms, or your email address. When you join the waitlist, PostHog gets only a one way scrambled code of your email that cannot be turned back into the address.
- If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, we send no analytics at all.
Your choices
Every email from us has a link to leave the list. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by writing to hello@walkmic.com, and we delete it within 30 days.
